The Inspiration
The original reference is Marlon Brando in the white tee that became a uniform for an entire generation. What made that tee work wasn't the cut — it was the fabric. A lightweight, slightly textured cotton that hugged just enough, draped just right, and got better the more it was worn. That's exactly what we set out to recreate with the Brando Slub.
What Is Slub Cotton?
"Slub" refers to a yarn where the thickness varies along its length — creating subtle, irregular bumps and texture in the finished fabric. Unlike a flat, uniform jersey, slub fabric has dimension. It catches light differently. It reads more vintage, more lived-in, and more interesting up close.
Our Brando Slub uses 100% organic cotton slub at 150 GSM — significantly lighter than a standard tee. This is the weight you want when the heat hits triple digits and a regular cotton tee starts feeling heavy.
